This has been a busy week. Tuesday night we went to a Red Cross fundraiser called "Empty Bowls". The Potter's Guild sponsors it. They contribute 800 or so bowls. For a $15 contribution you can choose one bowl. You also get a bowl of soup, a slice of bread and water. It makes a person think about all those whose meals are that meager on a daily basis. The event is held at the local art gallery, which was staging an exhibition from a Michigan competition. This translates into: some wonderful art, some truly awful.
